Cool Office Furniture: Design for the Workplace
Join us as we discover Ofitres' beautiful office furniture. These pieces blend creativity and functionality for the workspace like no other.
Although it may sound boring, the design of office furniture has a significant impact on our lives. In the day-to-day routine of many of us, the hours spent sitting at a desk in front of a computer screen are inevitable. Thus, good design can transform the furniture in our offices from a real enemy to our best ally.
Functionality, costs, comfort, and ergonomics in interior design, and comfort are essential when discussing work furniture, but they can leave little room for the creativity of a designer. However, the best creatives are able to leave their mark on office furniture that becomes true design pieces, where the concept and details speak for themselves.
Today, we take a look at the novelties from the catalog of Ofitres, a design firm specializing in office furniture. In these products—presented during the Habitat Fair 2023—functionality and creativity go hand in hand to offer designs that are undeniably desirable.
Ofitres
Founded in 1990, the Spanish firm Ofitres is one of the leaders in the national office furniture market. Since its beginnings in the 1990s, the company has collaborated with renowned national designers—in addition to having its own technical design team—to create a wide selection of practical and attractive pieces.
Tono Family, by La Mamba
In the latest edition of the Habitat Fair, the Valencian design studio La Mamba presented, alongside Ofitres, the Tono collection. It consists of various pieces for the office including a storage system, an executive desk, meeting tables, and a set of armchairs and sofas. Despite being designed for the workspace, the quality, taste and elegance of these pieces make them perfectly adaptable for the home.
Although simple, the different pieces of the Tono collection are fully integrated with the same design detail and finishes. This design detail is the basis of the Tono cabinet, which is repeated in the tables (how the legs join the rest of the table), the armchairs, and the modular sofa.
Tray Collection, by Estudio Pedro Feduchi
Madrid architect Pedro Feduchi presented (also at Habitat) the Tray office table, a versatile design with simple lines and great personality. In a way, the design is a modular table, as different pieces or accessories can be incorporated to add new functionalities. For example, a circular extension at the end of the table creates a corner for impromptu meetings; a lower tray provides storage space; or a metal arm at the end of the table allows hanging a seat, creative storage, or—as shown in the image—a punching bag perfect for letting off steam. The options are endless, making this office furniture the perfect addition to dynamic workspaces, where collaboration is maximized.
Levels side tables, by La Mamba
Levels is a set of center and side tables with a minimal aesthetic and geometric design. The different pieces—again designed by the La Mamba studio—are the perfect complement to the Tono sofas or any living or soft seating space in the office (or even at home). The tables come in various sizes and heights, offering total customization in terms of materials and finishes.
Loom, by J.M. Ferrero - estudi{H}ac
José Manuel Ferrero—creative director of the Valencian studio estudi{H}ac—presents, alongside Ofitres, a collection of shelves, dividers, and boards under the name Loom. The design, especially versatile and functional, is a good solution for changing and dynamic workspaces. It is a modular proposal, where different additions are incorporated onto a shelf structure (inspired by traditional looms) to achieve various functionalities. For example, it can go from a fixed shelf to a desk with shelves or even a wheeled board.
