Gold and white, as per the brief with light wood accents to add a little organic warmth. I've done the best I can, and I hope my first contest entry is something you like. Please give me a vote if you think I've done a good job; if not please leave me some feedback so I can get better.

Have a good night!

P.S. I hope the 'gold' comes off as gold on your monitor, and not mustard!

I tried to use the stereotypical Scandinavian palette of cool-toned woods and neutral colors. Little was provided in the way of Scandinavian decor, so imagine heavyweight knit blankets in un-dyed creams, browns, and taupes draped over the couches and ladder. Stack pillows on the wooden chest and scattered them generously about the sofas. Cluster over-sized candles of various sizes in the corners around the fireplace, and on the mantel, and tables. Pretend the photos are black-and-white scenes of the Scandinavian countryside. The hodgepodge of mats on the floor is the closest I could get to layering the textiles for which the Scandinavian people are so well known. I left most furniture at odd angles to create a cozy feeling conducive to conversations with friends and family.

I hope you like it. Please leave comments and critiques so I can improve.
