Designer’s notes
My dad's 1984 condo was a complete gut job. This is the finished and roofed concept for my dad's condo living room. Muted colors like shades of gold and gray make this a masculine but inviting space. The plant life adds a feminine touch against the masculine industrial stone accent wall. Old windows were moved up and wall-length seating added. Custom wall art hides a wall-mounted television. Three ball chandeliers add a funky but cozy warmth. Wood beams and engineered hardwood tie the living space with the rest of the first floor while also adding the illusion of length. High-hung window treatment and armless armchairs give the illusion of height to the eight-foot ceiling. The front closet, mostly unused, was demolished and an elegant understated coat hanger added.
