I'm in love with walls, the fireplace and bench area next to it, brilliant idea. Bookshelves, with vivid colors books, look great too! The whole idea about the stone house is great.

Hi Elena! With your design I'm always expecting to be "wowed" and you never fail to amaze me with your incredible skills and style. When I think that I start to understand your tastes, you pull out a surprise like that. A very old style, rustic, cottage-y design. The effect of the wood floor with the brick walls is amazing. Softening a little using the grey of the other two walls is such a wise move. You are really a mature designer. The layout is well thought but it gives you the sensation of a place where people live. It looks snug and cozy. The only thing that I would have changed is the color of the bookcases. It is not bad but some how it cool donw that welcoming feel in that beautiful, beautiful room. When you have the time, please, have a look at my project on page 27. Good luck

Hi Elena! Thank you so much for the nice review. I don't think that your armchairs are too dark but that is my personal tastes. However, trying to be objective, those colours doesn't seem to dirsrupt nor the style, nor the coziness of the room. Yes, the bookcase are little bit too cold for that place and that's the only fault that I can find, otherwise you won the challnge. You did something which is way outside your confort zone. Brava! Regarding my project that carpet doesn't convince me as well. I decided to go for somethign red in the room. That shade of red is part of a triad of colors. The main color is the "giallo ocra" of the wall. However, godspeed Elena. I will vote for you for sure.

Pero mira que proyecto, es increible. Los colores son super calidos pero combinan a la perfeccion con el ladrillo. Me encanta que tenga tantisimos libros y de todos los colores. Y la chimenea, madre mia que pasada, me gustaria saber como la has hecho porque es impresionante. En cuanto de pueda votar, no dudes que lo haré. Suerte

This is one of the most phenomenal designs I have ever seen. The fireplace is genius. The little bricks on the wall are very clever!
