My dad's bland living room undergoes a massive overhaul in this after picture. I raised up the windows and added wall-length sofa. A brick accent wall is masculine and industrial. Armless armchairs give the illusion of height to the eight-foot ceilings. Hardwood floors replaced ugly carpet and window treatments give a sense of privacy or freedom from glare when watching TV. The wall-mounted flatscreen is hidden behind a custom piece of wall art. Now this a place people want to come hang out.
