The desk is placed to optimize natural light— the computer won't overheat due to direct sunlight, and a right handed person won't have a shadow cast over their paper as they write. If you want to curl up on the spinny chair and spin around, there's just enough space to do that. There may be more storage than a single person needs.

I designed a bedroom I would have loved to have when I was younger. Usually I like corner beds but the room was too spacious to not put it in the middle. There was no ceiling lighting option so I stuck lamps in the wall.

The kitchen really only fit naturally in the corner but there was an annoying gap between it and the wall so I did a hack job of filling the gap with shelves. Four shelves.

The medley of wood textures is grounded by the black accents. I placed the office desk where it is to allow for lots of natural light and a Zoom-ready background. The soft curves and low profiles of the seating + the direct path from the door to the back wall promote a sense of flow and openness.

I wish there were some smaller plants, I would have loved to put a few on the coffee table. Also wish the ceiling could have been changed.
