Designer’s notes
This innovative one-bedroom apartment reimagines spatial flow through light, transparency, and flexible zoning. Designed as an open-plan concept, the layout blends functionality with a sense of calm, using subtle separations instead of traditional walls. At the heart of the apartment is a compact yet fully equipped kitchen, seamlessly integrated into the main living area. Adjacent to the kitchen, a striking glass partition—softened by a full-height curtain—conceals the bathroom. This solution maintains privacy when needed, while allowing natural light to pass through and visually expand the space when open. The central open space combines multiple functions: a cozy living area, built-in shelving for storage and decor, and a minimalist dining corner. Every element is carefully placed to maximize usability without overcrowding the room. The sleeping area is discreetly positioned behind a curtain, offering a sense of separation without compromising the openness of the layout. This flexible division allows the space to transform easily between day and night use. Overall, the apartment showcases a contemporary approach to small-space living—where glass, textiles, and smart layout decisions create a harmonious, airy, and highly functional home.
