Designer’s notes
A house designed to look ordinary-until you study the floor plan. Inspired by Strange Houses by Uketsu, this two-story home hides subtle architectural oddities beneath a minimalist exterior. A concealed vertical shaft, an unusually isolated child's bedroom, winding circulation, and spaces that seem to exist without a clear purpose invite viewers to question whether every room is truly meant to be lived in. Every wall, doorway, and corridor was placed to encourage observation rather than provide answers. The house appears functional, yet something about it never feels quite right. Although inspired by Strange Houses, the exterior reflects my own vision. I transformed the original facade into a modern home with soft textures, natural wood, and lush greenery, creating a contrast between its welcoming appearance and the mysteries hidden within its layout.
