Designer’s notes
The kitchen of my dad's 1984 condo was a home designers best dream. The dated kitchen was completely gutted to reveal this sleek, modern space. The stone motif continues from the living room, making it seem like one continuous room. A kitchen closet as well as several cabinets were removed in favor of wall-mounted dish rack and a gorgeous functional island that overlooks the dining room for easy entertaining. A larger window floods the space with natural light. Three industrial hanging lamps illuminate the poured concrete island top. Stainless steel barstools are the perfect breakfast bar. I'm proud to have brought this eighties relic into the 21st century.
